femme— the collective

In 2021, Julia started a group called Femme within her role as Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Director on the AIA Winston-Salem board. Over the last four years, we have hosted over 40 networking events, a discussion panel, golf workshops, yoga, hikes, and so much more. In 2025, Femme will continue outside of the umbrella of AIAWS to allow us to connect with more industries.

The goal of Femme has always been to connect, unite, and empower women across the design, construction, and engineering industries in the triad area. We typically meet on the second Tuesday of each month. Most events are during the lunch hour, but occasionally are in the afternoon or evening.

There is no membership fee or requirements, just RSVP, show up and grow your network amongst a friendly group of female leaders in our community! If your company is interested in sponsoring an event, please reach out via email. We are actively looking for sponsors for upcoming events.
