Julia Hess, RA, is a licensed architect based in Winston-Salem, NC, with a deep passion for thoughtful and intentional design. She is committed to crafting spaces where every detail is meticulously considered, ensuring that each project is a unique, custom solution tailored to her clients' needs. Shae Studio was envisioned as a creative studio focused on designing environments that bring people together. Whether it's a single-family home, a vibrant café, a dynamic gym, or a welcoming park, Shae Studio's projects prioritize connection, community, and purpose in every space. Julia holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Science in Building Construction Science and Management from Virginia Tech.

Prior to founding Shae Studio, Julia worked with firms such STITCH Design Shop and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. Some of the imagery shown across our platforms was completed during her time with these firms.
